Online Banking won't let me select Checking account

US QuickBooks for Macintosh : 2009

On QB 2009 for Mac, I setup online banking and it would not allow me to choose the Checking account already in use within the program. Why is this? Also had this problem for QB Premier 2007 Contractor's Edition on a PC.
