When a customer returns finished goods, and a credit memo is issued to the customer, does the credit memo automatically return the items back into inventory? If not, do I return the items into inventory through the inventory quantity adjustment?
It automatically goes back into inventory.

Ray, thanks for your answer. I thought it was supposed to work that way, however, I issued a credit for a substantial amount of finished product that was returned to us, and then went to the Item List to check, and the quantity on hand was unchanged. The same thing occurred with another customer a day earlier. Any thoughts as to what is happening will be greatly appreciated.
If it's a general credit memo & not returning of product it doesn't affect inventory. You must return an item form the items list.
