I am transferring from Quicken 2004 to Quickbooks 2009. It's all our banking information for our business. I think I might have even downloaded the information from Quicken wrong because it will not let me pull up our company on Quickbooks. So I either download it wrong or I transfer the data wrong or You can't transfer the data from Quicken to Quickbooks and that why it won't let me pull up the company. What am I doing wrong? Can you convert an old Quicken to a new Quickbooks? I NEED some help here getting started?

You Quicken file. Is it Windows or Mac? I am assuming that you are in QB 09 for the mac.
From the QB 2009 for Mac help documentation: "QuickBooks Accounting 2009 for Mac can convert a Quicken for Mac file created with, or updated by, Quicken for Mac 2007." That would indicate to me that you'd need to update your Quicken file to the 2007 version first. (Perhaps you can use a free trial version to do that---but use a copy of your original file!!)
There are very specific procedures described in QB 2009 for Mac's help documentation under "Converting a Quicken for Mac file to QuickBooks for Mac."
Cheers!
