How to record no salary for officers with no profit?

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows : 2009

I have a new corporation, started last year. I have to do year end taxes. So far, I haven't paid salary to myself or my wife (we are both listed as officers) because we are not profitable yet. How do I report this in quickbooks?

There will be no dollars to record so I would write a document that states that there was no profit and save the financial statement generated form the last month in the company's books from Quick Books as supporting evidence

I salute all our current Military and our Veterans.
