First, I think you need to be a little more specific about who you want to work with and how you are going to tell the market that you are different from everyone else who claims to do what you do. Once you do that, then you can start looking at how to generate referrals, use social media, etc.

Here are a couple of free resources on my website that may help you.

7 Steps to Small Business Marketing Success

Free e-book about referrals and marketing

If you have more specific questions after reading those, let me know.

Also, search for questions that are similar to this that have been answered by Michelle Long. I know she has directed some people to a free webinar recording that will help, but I don't have the URL handy.

Hope that helps

Amstoops,

To find clients you need to know the market you are targeting and to place yourself were they are.  You want to stay "front-of-mind".  If you don't already have a marketing plan take some time to create one.  On the internet you will find tons of templates for how to create one.  As for identifying techniques for marketing it will depends on your budget.  If money is limited consider investing time in creating a social media campaign, get a copy of Gurrilla Marketing by Jay Conrad Levinso, or build a solid referral program.  Good luck in getting these new clients.

Wishing you productivity and prosperity,

Kim
