What Inspired My Business

When my daughter was a baby, I was working full time as a bookkeeper and was spending much of my day looking for something to keep me busy after my QuickBooks tasks were complete. I researched the ProAdvisor Program, got certified and began picking up clients. The ability to save small businesses money - where every penny saved makes a difference - and the idea of making my own hours to spend more time with my family really drove me to make the switch from full time employee to full time business owner.

Personal Bio

I started doing accounting tasks in junior high - helping my father with his construction business - so I already have over 20 years experience in small business payroll and general bookkeeping. In addition to bookkeeping, I do one on one training, seminars through the Oakland County Planning & Economic Development Department for new business owners, teach QuickBooks courses through various Adult Education programs and have taught workshops through the Oakland Community College Workforce Development Program. I've been the featured ProAdvisor on the QuickBooks Ask the Expert forum and a QuickBooks Case study. I'm also expecting our second child in mid January - just in time for busy season!
