Boy, do I see some keepers. How about the guy who excluded from income the $100,000 in attorney fees paid on his behalf by his employer - which was tacked onto his W-2 - took the $25,000 refund from the IRS and FTB of the taxes paid ( by the employer on his behalf ) on the $100,000 he decided to exclude from income, then got a CP-2000 from the IRS ... Go figure. Not so strange... except... we got him a no change on the examination! Nice Bonus for the client THAT year, ehhh? Let it be known... truth really is stranger than fiction!

Recent Business Surprise

A Texas CPA called me ( here is California ) to assist him with an ITIN ( for his client also here in California ) Seems the IRS posts the ITIN Acceptance Agents on their website! Yippy! Skippy! I didn't expect free advertising.
