It began as a fledgling idea.

Launching my business

It began as a fledgling idea..

Two years ago after the loss of my Dad, my wife and I began a search for a better spiritual walk and we began to evaluate our impact within the community, on earth and within Christianity. We realized that we spent as much on food and groceries as some people make in a year and it made us sick. The very next Sunday our friend Bill Gordon stood up with his personal testimony and challenged the church to look around and see how we as individuals were honoring God and were we truly doing Christ's work. The sad answer was no, we were not.

So, with Bill at our side and that in mind the Clean Socks movement began in earnest.

The Clean Socks & More Charity was founded in 2008 as a way to raise awareness and donations for the homeless in Louisville, Kentucky. It began modestly as a 2 site concert one in Leitchfield and one in Louisville. The headlining act cancelled the day of the show and Jeff, Scott and Jake Minton were forced to jump in as the music that day and we raised over 500 pairs of socks.

Advice for others

"Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, these ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance." ~Robert F. Kennedy
