Most Unusual Client or Client Story
I was doing monthly write-up work for a client who wanted another company to do his taxes. He called and asked me if I had any information on his tax filing. I had assisted him in creating his corporation. He was being taken to court by his ex-wife and needed financials to prove his earnings. I asked for copies of his tax returns. His tax preparer took the income statement from his corporation and used it to create a schedule "C". He was assessed and paid more than $5000. I amended this return and helped him file his corporate return. He received a complete refund. His corporation declared that it was accrual based. We entered an accrual for a bonus that eliminated his corporate earnings for the year. He paid the bonus within the alloted time period.

Most Challenging Business Obstacle

Business Challenge
Work and Family Balance, A $700,000 plumbing company wanted to increase their gross margin.

Our Solution
I suggested that he segment his market. Supply and demand change with every customer and over time. Charging a surcharge to his clients who want to go to the front of the cue. A stop charge of $39 was ultimately implemented. This increased their company's earning s by approximately $40,000 per year.
