New Countywide Newspaper coming out March 2, 2011

Launching my business

I ran for Justice of the Peace in our last election because i wanted to be active in our community. I wanted to try and make things better. Well, 40 % was nice but not enough to win. But I still wanted to have some kind of influence. I didnt  feel like the citizens have ever had enough information, or enough of the facts. Without these important ingrediants, it makes it near to impossible to conversate about, or worst yet, try and debate current and upcoming county issues.

My mom , who has been in the paper business half of her working life, had moved to Tennessee the year before.

One day my wife, noting my patriotic frustrations, said, " Why dont you call your mom and tell her to move back home and ya'll start a paper together". I dont think she realized at the time what kind of a fire this would light underneath me. Because here we are, one month later, and we are one week from releasing our introduction and promotion Newsletter. And three weeks from coming off the press. Not to try and jinx myself , but i have never had anything fall together so easily. Now, Im wondering why I hadnt been in the paper business all along. Catch ya in the funnies...             Check out our website: izardcountyvoice.com

Advice for others

Whatever you are thinking. Dont expect any outside help. Know that it is going to be hard and frustrating. Because when you attain it, and you will if you are hungry enough, it will swell a pride up inside of you that no one can ever take from you.
