Providing services to a landscaper who lives less than a mile away from me in a fairly rural area. His mother is in my Chamber group, and said she was going to tell her son to call me. He didn't, and I didn't know the name of his company. His girlfriend, who is helping him with the business, found me on the QB Find a ProAdvisor website. They are one of my best clients now.
Recent Business Surprise
A company whose QB are completely out of whack who keep paying me to help them, but then they get busy on the phone or meeting with other people. They pay me when I leave, and set up my next appointment. I really haven't done very much.

Developing a Business Plan, My business plan was to get monthly clients that I would do the bookkeeping in my office. Instead, most of my clients want me to go to their office. The plan was to charge a monthly amount based on two hours, and do the work in 45 minutes. But when I'm at their office, I can only charge the time I'm actually there, plus travel time.
