Years In The Making
Growing my business
I started out at 11 years old, answering phones and taking payments in my father’s automotive shop in the summers. When I was in my early 20's I went to school for real estate and became a commercial property manager. Over the years I found myself doing more of the bookkeeping then I ever expected I would be doing. In my mid 20's my brother opened his first business in HVAC, so naturally I helped him out when ever I could.
In my late 20's I became engaged to my husband, his mother was an accountant and he opened his own trucking company. Working directly with his mother helped me get a solid foundation for bookkeeping and accounting. I still wasn’t sure of my abilities so in 2003 I went back to school for Bookkeeping and accounting.
As things changed in life as they often did I found myself back in commercial property management. I still helped out my father from time to time with his bookkeeping as well as his website and social media/web presence. In 2007 I bought my domain name and set myself up to do bookkeeping professionally.
Working full time as a property manager I just couldn’t find the time to really do bookkeeping on the side. So in June when I found out a new management company was going to be managing the property I was running I jumped on the opportunity to finally do what I had been dreaming about for years. So here I am a good laid plan finally in action, and it only took a life time to find out what I was truly good at and what made me happy.
