Most Unusual Client or Client Story
Our very first client - Felicia Strati, a women's clothing boutique in Sacramento, CA. I have made an appointment with the owner and it turned out that she was from Europe, lived in Italy for a while, and was in startup stage of her business as well. So, we spent about three hours talking about life in Italy and business in general before we both realized why I came there…. She said, “OK, show me what products you have†and then placed a big order!!! It was our first and biggest order in 2007 and Felicia Strati is still our #1 client in California.
Recent Business Surprise
In January 2009 we attend the Northern California Fashion Market trade show in San Mateo, CA. I was expecting a very slow show because of the current economic condition, but we wrote so many orders that I could not believe what was happening. Most vendors were complaining that the show was slow, but for me it was the busiest tradeshow ever !!! There was another very positive surprise waiting for me on the last day of that trade show – I was introduced to a well known sales representative in lingerie field, who was actually looking for a new hosiery line to start working with. It turned out to be a very good meeting for my business, because this sales representative works in a team with two others and together they cover a territory, which includes 13 states of the USA !!!

Finding Funding, All my financial data is showing that the business has been profitable since the first day of its operation, and my credit score is excellent. However, having recently immigrated to the USA from Italy, I could not establish a solid credit history and now my business is at risk because of that, because no bank is willing to give me neither a business line of credit, nor a loan.
