What Inspired My Business
The inspiration for StarrMatica sparked from a need our company president experienced for high quaility interactive resources that could be used in flexible ways with technology hardware. As a fourth grade teacher, Emily Starr struggled to find quality online reading and math resources to integrate into her daily classroom instruction with an LCD projector. Searching for resources took an incredible amount of time, but she saw how teaching with technology positively impacted her students. So, she started StarrMatica to make teaching with tecnology easier for all educators.
Most Unusual Client or Client Story
I was conducting training for a group of teachers on how to use StarrMatica with an interactive white board. One of the teachers stayed afterward so I could work with her step by step on how to set up the hardware. I asked her to turn on the computer as the first step, and she just looked at me. We definitely started from square one! It was a joy for me to help her and see her excitement as she became more comfortable with technology!

Our Solution
StarrMatica harnessed the power of free web advertising and social media to connect with potential customers by posting videos on Teacher Tube and You Tube, contributing to message boards, and creating a Facebook presence. Teacher Tube videos alone boosted StarrMatica’s free trial signups from 3 to over 100 per month.
