What Inspired My Business
First off, I wasn't very good at making movies that keep the audience awake. By the time my second movie was finished, the economy had tanked and even more people needed help getting enough sleep.
Most Unusual Client or Client Story
Editing my first feature, WebcamMurder.com, took five years--partly because the editing program kept crashing, partly to find the perfect mesh of tedium and staring into space. Before it was done, I put up articles on Amazon about things like how to make movies that put the audience to sleep. Late one night, a slightly tipsy web surfer read them all and then went looking for more. He wrote to me begging (or so it seemed in my own sleepless state) to see WebcamMurder.com. After I shipped him the latest edit, he emailed me a photo of him and some friends sleeping through my movie--Film Sleepy Inc's first fans!
Recent Business Surprise
While the popularity of my movie Sublime Crime: A Subliminal Mystery fell 34% on IMDb.com in a week, non-human Sublime Crime star Clip Art's popularity rose 58%. If only this guy (AKA clipart) could make public appearances.
