What Inspired My Business
I worked as a Tax preparer for Tax Reducers for 37 years. After they retired me at age 70, I worked for one "tax service" whose main emphasis was selling bank products. Then I tried another one who made up numbers for clients.
Some of my Tax Reducers clients continued to call me for both advice and tax preparation, so I decided to get software and an Efin and do it on my own since I had continued all the CTEC requirements for preparing taxes in California.
Most Unusual Client or Client Story
This occurred at Tax Reducers. The man owned a vending machine business. One year he walked in and said, "My taxes will be easy this year. I sold the business." I told him that I would still have to do all the business info until the date of the sale. He said, "I didn't sell it all at once, I sold the individual machines at different times and I don't which machine I sold when."
