Quality fast return of transcribed reports. Conferences and seminars are becoming my favorite type of work - although my first love is medical transcription.

I love what I do. I am also concerned about one's medical history and other personal information being off shored. I compete with rates to bring this service back to the USA. I also love the challenge of beating a client's expected TAT and give them their work with quality. I also love the idea of being able to train and instruct others on this very necessary profession. Many companies want two years minimum experience but no one is willing to work with the "newbie" to assist them in becoming the experience MT that doctors and businesses need. All work is double proofed for grammar and accuracy in dictation, allowing them to learn every nuance. I take pride that I have MT from all over contacting to work with me, experienced and otherwise.

I think my biggest surprise was when a client wrote thank you on the check for payment with an included bonus that I was not expecting at all. I beat the deadline by three days on a very large project and apparently, they liked this tremendously. Also, I had a recent client send a .dat file of audio and visual for transcription, had to find a recording studio to dub it to DVD - made great contact with them for future use - and they now post my information in their business.

Being that I have a home office, finding time to spend with my grandchild and children is difficult. They tend to think because I am home, I am available.



Also reaching out to the potential clients and having them make the time to learn a bit more about what Transcriptionist do, and how important keeping the work here in the US for US patients. They have insurance and other costs demands, I try to keep my rates to them low maintaining the quality they demand.

I take a break every two hours for 15 minutes to take a quick walk with them, or chat about their day.



I have developed a power point project that can show them at their own time the processes, experience and details of a medical transcriptionist and how we can help, also the downfalls of off shoring medical and personal information outside of the US.
