Recent Business Surprise
We won the Environmental Excellence Award from our City of Ventura. The surprise was that it came with a pile of impressive looking folders with government seals on them. There were FIVE certificates of recognition inside, signed by our highest CA officials including Governor Schwarzenegger. I was blown away.

I love to surf. It's been my passion for about ten years now. I have a very colorful history including 17 years in Berlin and many creative endeavors as an artist, singer and designer. Surfing and a life by the ocean is what inspired me to start my business, my passion, six years ago.

Most Challenging Business Obstacle
Business Challenge
Finding Funding, Because of the high cost of our ethical manufacturing and my desire to keep my designs affordable, I don't have much wiggle room and end up doing almost everything myself, getting overwhelmed often. I'd like to get some funding so I can outsource some things like PR and graphics to a few folks who are better at it than I am while focusing on growing the sales to bring in enough to grow fiscally and create more jobs for others.
