Small Business Building Blocks

By Bill Brelsford
For the past 20 years, I have been working with and for small businesses in a variety of roles.
After graduating from Washburn University, I began my career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Although I maintain my CPA license, I no longer practice public accounting.
I have also been involved in developing and implementing software systems for over 15 years. Most of my software development work has been related to automating systems and using information to make better decisions (the stuff they are now calling business intelligence).
As a result of being a consultant working on project work I have had the opportunity to live in several different states - here's the list so far: RI, MA, KS, PA, IN, and NC. I live in Lenexa, KS (suburb of Kansas City) and although I like to travel, I think my moving days are behind me.
One of the things I noticed in working with small business owners was the lack of a systematic approach to marketing. So, in mid 2006, I quit my "day job" to start my own company to help fill this need.
Since John Jantsch of Duct Tape Marketing seemed to share my views regarding using a systems based approach, I became an Authorized Duct Tape Marketing Coach.
I focus on helping small business owners and independent professionals install marketing systems.
