As I watched the video and listened to my elementary school friend, it struck me how dedicated she really is to her business. It's not just a business to bring in the bucks, it's a gradual, continual learning and teaching experience. Since, Kathy has incorporated her culinary classes for the young children, she has opened up an area where children have a mentor to look up to. This speaks for itself in volumes. Kathy (Miss Wolper!) was my third grade teacher. To this day, I can remember many of the lessons she taught me...including my first endeavour in the culinary arts. We made Irish Potatoes for St. Patrick's Day. I believe it is part of the foundation for my passion for creating delicious culinary dishes for my family and friends, today. My mother was never much of a baker so I credit Miss Wolper for instilling a love of learning and trying new recipes. She truly is an inspiration to all!

I was very impressed by Kathy's story. She's a true teacher at heart and it appears that she has followed that throughout her life. And, combining that with her life-long cooking passion truly makes for a perfect match. I was also inspired by how Kathy's family plays such an important role -- learning cooking from her Mother, her Father always smiling and encouraging, and the support of her siblings, nieces and nephews. It sounds like she has all the right "ingredients" to succeed!

You did a great class with my Girl Scout troop. The girls had a great time learning how to make the candy roses.

Kathy came out for my daughter's sleep over bright and early in the morning and worked with them to make breakfast. They loved it and she also introduced them to different types of food like clotted cream and lemon curd.
