Gratitude - beautiful living for some, obstacle of indebted feelings for others
My company, I'm So Thankful, is built on the foundation of connecting people through gratitude. Over the past few years we have developed, tweaked, defined then sometimes re-defined ourselves and our service.
Our goal is to provide an open forum for people worldwide to send thank you messages publically - which lead to the creation of The Gratitude Network. There is an option to send 'private' messages too, but our hope is that the microblog syle of our Gratitude Network is what catches on. People have a natural voyeristic nature, instead of looking in at the 'negatives' of others lives, here is a great place to check out what people all over are thankful for and who they are thanking.
We also drifted into the greeting card business. But we did it with flair. We have a running hot-or-not style scoring system for artwork. We have recieved hundreds of works from around the globe, and add new art to the reel daily. The artwork that we think will do well as a printed card are the ones with a high average score. The visitors to our site take the guessing out of what is liked and what is wanted in print.
We have two great, unique functions to our business and we are working every day on developing others. Our difficulty comes with the simple fact that many people shy away from gratitude for one of two reasons. Either they see it as a spiritual or religious concept and are uneasy with that; or they feel that thankfulness puts them in debt to another. If you have any ideas, suggestions, comments on what we can do as a business that will show potential members it isproven to give an increas in happiness we would love to hear about them.
Stay glued to your mission, your goal and your vision.
