Ray White

Ray White Enterprises, LLC are small business accounting specialists. They can help you choose the right accounting software package for your company. Their focus is on customer needs, and design charts of accounts, customize forms, provide training, do software installation, etc. They can provide customized reports in Excel and Crystal Reports to extend what is available in customer's software. Ray has been working with accounting software since 1977.

Ray works with a wide variety of clients from a one-person shop to a 300-person office. Some of my clients include doctors, dentists, manufacturers, hardware stores, lawyers, web designers, graphic designers, contractors, and landscapers. In addition to his work with clients, he is very active in our community–Ray is a Community All Star, Accountant Community All Star, and is one of the all time leaders in questions answered and points earned. (Points are based on a combination of the number of posts and how they are rated by the community.)

Additional services

Ray White Enterprises provides Bookkeeping Services and Income Tax Preparation for Individuals, Sole Proprietors/LLC, and Partnerships. They are QuickBooks POS certified since v2.0 and Enterprise Certified since v7.0. We also support Quicken. We support both QuickBooks and Quicken on both Windows and Mac operating systems.  Next  year we will offer our clients  remote services, including FTP services.

Past Experiences

Ray worked for a food store warehouse, a boot manufacturer, a paper manufacturer, a pipe valve and fittings distributor, a watch maker, and a payroll company. He worked as an accountant in private industry for eight years before transitioning into the computer field where he designed systems, wrote program specifications, and trained users on both mainframe and mid-range computers. His first experience in the microcomputer world was in 1988. In 1992 he began using QuickBooks--version 1.8 with QuickPay running under DOS!

Getting to know Ray

Ray has an MBA in Finance, a BS in Accounting, and an AA in Computer Science. He is an active member of the Little Falls Business Association of which he was the president from 1995 – 2006. Additionally, he is an active member of the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to his work, some of Ray's hobbies are chess and poker. He truly enjoys his work, but if he had to pick a place to retire, it would be on a beach..

Biggest challenge

Ray's biggest challenges are keeping up with the technology changes and changing client needs. To stay current, he subscribes to a variety of computer magazines and tax newsletters.

Since his clients' needs are changing, Ray constantly reviews and revises the services that he provides. For example, some clients had very specific reporting requirements that could not be met by their accounting software. To meet this need, Ray began offering customized reports, in both Excel and Crystal Reports.
